HBCU Institution’s May Apply to Participate in HBCU Campaign Fund’s HBCU of the Month Supported Institution Initiative Program

The HBCU Campaign Fund (HCF) organization cordially invites HBCUs (Historically Black Colleges and Universities) to participate in part of its HBCU of the Month Supported Institution Initiative Program that works as a monthly recognition spotlight in bringing awareness to HBCUs in celebrating the institution’s rich history while assisting to target the growth of enrollment, financial endowment or support, and increase in scholarship funds and lean the institution to becoming more social media accessible (if not already) in sustaining its HBCU institution.

HCF’s HBCU of the Month Initiative Program is an initiative program that is warmly open to all historically black colleges and universities and predominantly black institution’s and operates as another avenue of advertisement in support of HBCU institution’s. The mission of this initiative is to annually select twelve (12) HBCUs/predominantly black institutions in partnership with HCF to support and campaign for in terms of celebrating the institution’s rich history, present achievements and accomplishments, and honoring the prestigious tradition of the selected HBCU or predominantly black institution socially through HCF’s social media handles (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and the organization’s website). During the HBCU or predominately black institution’s designated celebration month, HCF strives to bring recognition, recruitment, and help fund raise through the institution office of institutional advancement or development to sustaining the scholarships for students, other initiatives and the partnership institution.

The HBCU  or Predominantly Black Supported Institution will be given a partnership page on HCF’s website dedicated to its designated month which will include: pride pictures, the institution’s history, a recruitment video (if accessible), a link to the institution’s website, admissions application and information provided by the institution’s office of institutional advancement or development on ways to give, and any other accessible information requested to be added by the institution as well as a hashtag for social engagement on social media handles.

HBCU Institution partners will be selected in three parts:

  1. Interest HBCU Institutions may submit an application on HCF’s website at www.hbcucampaignfund.org/programs/hbcuofthemonth/.
  2. During the summer months, five (5) HBCUs may be unanimously selected by a vote of HCF’s President, HBCU of the Month Initiative Coordinator and HBCU of the Month Initiative Committee to consider to serve as an HCF HBCU of the Month Supported Institution.
  3. Other HBCU Institutions may be chosen by poll voted by the general public during HCF’s HBCU of the Month Initiative Program – Initiative Achievement On-line Awards which is hosted and presented by the HBCU of the Month Initiative Committee.
