Help Rally to Save Chicago State University From Shut Down Due to Illinois State Budget Crisis

The D.J’s Music Site HBCU Campaign Fund organization ask that you join us in rallying to save Chicago State University, which is predominantly black and serves as a Thurgood Marshall College Fund member-school. Chicago State University holds more than 140 years of historic history and is currently operating on limited funds until March. After March, the university is threaten to shut down as it will not be able to make ends meet to continue serving academic excellence to the African-American community and a diverse populations. The Illinois State Officials have not approve on a state budget to sustain Chicago State University and other Illinois Public Institutions with funds to continue to operate.

You can join in on this movement by participating in one of the following options:

  1.  Use hashtags #SaveCSU, #BudgetOrElse, #CSUSaveLives and state reasoning’s why should Chicago State University be refrain from being shut down due to the Illinois State Budget crisis.
  2. Construct a letter to Illinois State legislators listing reasoning’s to why they should approve on passing a budget so that Chicago State University can continue serving academic excellence to the African-American community and a diverse population.
  3.  Give a donation to the University Foundation at Chicago State. Log onto http://www.csu.edu/TUFCS/giveonline.htm (Click on “Add Special Instructions” and enter #SaveCSU in the instruction box.)
